My name is Lisa Strand and I work as a therapist and psychologist.

I believe healing is possible. I do not think it is a coincidence that we come back to the same problem, maybe with a different tone, in our phases in life. Is it this time I will be able to quit my addiction? Deal with my anger issues? With my recurring depressions?

 We are all lovable.

This is an important reminder when the inner critic is treating us too harshly.

I like to walk in nature, in the mountains in the summertime, or by the ocean at the west coast of Sweden, but most of the year I live and work in the city of Stockholm.

My spiritual journey is a red thread throughout my life. I have searched, here and there; thirty years with intense involvement with meditation and an indian spiritual master, some years diving deepely into christianity and christian mysticism, landing into that there is a deep place inside where it is impossible to tell the difference between God and me. Is this my deeper self? Is this the place I have come to this Earth to land in? Those who seek shall find.

I am licensed psychologist, educated in psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavior therapy, compassionfocused therapy and Aedp.

I am somatic experiencing practitioner which is a trauma treatment method, and I have been working with the learning love-work for many years, both with groups, couples and individuals. It focuses on the wounded inner child and how it plays itself out in relationships (see My Methods).

I have a diploma as massage therapist, have been an active meditator for thirty years, and I have also been trained in reichian body-energy work.

As a psychologist I have been working with young people with eating disorders, as school psychologist, with children, in the psychiatric world, specifically with psychoses and autism, and as psychologist in primary care, individually and with groups in mindfulness and compassion-focused therapy.
